Florida summers can be tough for photographers who are limited on extra time. On this day, I only had time to hike during midday before the afternoon storms formed. At this point I was two miles into the trails when I heard the first peaks of thunder… very close. After taking this shot of the Turkey Oak with the storm clouds in the background, I ran as fast as possible with my camera and tripod for two miles. Thunder clapped all around me but the rain held off until I got into my car.
